I love learning new languages, and not only because I am a French teacher. Travelling and being able to speak the local language makes it easier to meet people and share more with them. I speak French, English, Spanish and some Mandarin.

My story as a teacher
I started as a primary school teacher before deciding to change my audience, quickly becoming an expert in teaching French as a foreign language. This allowed me the opportunity to work abroad as I went first to China, then to England and to New Zealand. In addition to working in many countries, I have also worked in a variety of different professional environments such as language schools (Alliance française), universities, and business schools where I was teaching general French to a demanding public of varied level.
Very early on, I specialized in teaching beginners as I always enjoyed seeing my students progress rapidly, being able to go from knowing no French to a level of confidence which allows them to survive in their environment and manage everyday situations. It's very rewarding.
In creating courses and materials online, I'm very happy to see that now my students come from different parts of the world. This drives me to always do my best to bring them answers and guide them toward their objectives.

A teacher is more than their lessons, so here is what keeps me busy when I am not preparing new learning resources.
Travel
I travel for much of the year, but rarely for holidays. I tend to live somewhere for a few months before moving to a new destination. The term “digital nomad” may describe me: I love discovering new landscapes and cultures, even though it often means building a new routine and finding my bearings again.
Running
I have always enjoyed sport, starting with gymnastics and then handball. My lifestyle later led me towards running and a little climbing. Trail running in nature and in the mountains is what I enjoy most. I also play padel, tennis and football.
Mountains
I may not be a true mountain person, but that is where I feel most at home. I especially love volcanoes and volcanic islands: their landscapes are unique, and I enjoy running or taking long hikes through them.
Series & films
Depending on the time of year, I can watch an entire series in just a few days. I enjoy every genre, with a preference for science fiction and fantasy. I also know the classics of French cinema and am always happy to share my favourite French series and films.
Croissants
It may not be surprising, but yes, I love croissants. I enjoy French pastries and baked goods, and finding a good local bakery on the other side of the world can become a real mission. Croissants are still an essential part of life!
Going out
I enjoy going out for a coffee or a drink on a terrace with friends. I like Belgian beer, craft beer and, thanks to my Burgundian roots, I also know a little about wine. I am, however, a very bad dancer and rarely go to clubs.
